Can you tell a bit more about yourself and what you do (your passions, job)?
- I am a self taught artist and entrepreneur based in Brussels. I mostly do visual arts such as painting, illustrating, sculpting, design, scenographies and more but not only, I also create content on social media for several companies.
Are you already familiar with the concept of 'space sharing'?
- Yes I am familiar with "space sharing". It's a really cool concept and it's part of the narrative of artists such as myself to look for studios or spaces to rent.
How important is 'space' to you in what you do as an artist?
- Space is everything really to be honest. It's not only m² but mostly m³ in my case that is important. The height of a room and the lights are what gives me infinite inspiration as it makes me feel free.
How can space sharing be useful in your professional life?
- Well, space sharing is interesting for many things, you can't get bored of the setups as you can keep changing them. If you are moving from various cities it's a plus too. For workshops it's also a very good alternative.
What’s your experience on using the app?
- It's a very simple and effective tool. It's always been a challenge to find different spaces and you usually need to have a contact who knows someone who knows someone. This is much more effective, transparent and dynamic. You have suggestions of areas nearby, by the communities you follow. Everything is already made for it to be easy and simple to book.
Who would you recommend the app to?
- I would definitely recommend the app to anyone who is an artist or an entrepreneur. This makes workshops, exhibitions or even just creative days just so much easier for you or your customers. I'm really not surprised they won the Henry Van de Velde award! It's truly a game changer!
