But first, get to know Sharon Tharma.
Can you tell a little more about yourself and what you do?
I am a content creator on social media specialized in fashion. The focus of my style is luxury menswear which includes tailored suits and accessories. My style is inspired by the Italian sprezzatura with my own touch added to it. Besides being a content creator I'm also working as a business consultant and tailoring specialist/stylist. Soon I will launch my own line of accessories and in the future I would love to include clothing as well.
Are you already familiar with the concept of space sharing?
I am already familiar with this. As a content creator, you now and then use photo and video studios. Sometimes it's just more convenient to shoot a collection on a private location where no one can interrupt your work. In addition, I'm also part of a Christian non-profit organization that occasionally needs spaces for meetings, Bible study groups, band rehearsals and concerts. As the drummer of the band, I prefer spaces where a lot of equipment is already available. I'm definitely a fan of space sharing and see this as an added value because of how easily you can find and book spaces.
Is space sharing something that could come in handy in your professional life?
As mentioned earlier, it does come in handy for photo shoots and content creation. Working as a business consultant (for Q8) and also running a side business in social media means that I could benefit from a flexible workspace. A co-working space seem ideal to me. Shooting in beautiful locations is also a must for me. Many people who follow me on Instagram are taking inspiration for wedding suits. When I'm shooting content in a beautiful villa, garden or lounge it instantly looks more appealing to them.
What criteria should a space meet?
Functionality, location and comfort. These 3 criteria seem to me the most important, By functionality I mean to what extent equipment is available, equipment needed for the purpose or type of work I would rent the space for. Second, location is important because I don't like being on the road at all so it has to be has to be close by. Last but not least, comfort and no distraction is one of the biggest reasons for me to rent a space for shoots and content creation. When you find the time to do creative work, you want to be focused and comfortable at the same time to create that content for partnering brands.
Have you already booked a space?
I've already booked a rehearsal space myself. I do plan to use it more for studios.
How do you find using the app?
The website is very clear and easy to use. I didn't get lost or overwhelmed with information and visuals. The app and socials are in the same style as the website.
Would you recommend the app? To whom in particular?
I would recommend the app to business owners to use for spaces which can make your job easier for a reasonable price. Even for people who want to throw a party from time to time, there are also great spaces on the app.
Would you rent out spaces yourself through the app?
If I had extra space, I would definitely do this. I'll definitely keep it in the back of my mind because it's a fun way to make an extra income.
